Lord Rose clashes with MPs over statistics.
- Article by the BBC
Lord Rose, the former Marks & Spencer boss who heads the pro-EU campaign group Britain Stronger In Europe, has been accused of a “scandalous misuse of data” as he appeared before MPs.
- Quote from the above article.
Lord Rose accused of Intellectual Dishonesty.
Bankrupt of any justifiable defence for his behaviour, Lord Rose retreated to the peculiar position of justifying his use of figures by stating that he had traded in Europe for forty five years, which having no relevance to the point in question I thought rather desperate, if not strange.
Once again we can see the lawless spirit driving the formation of a corporately controlled European Superstate. [Eph 2:2].
The figure that Lord Rose is using as fact was quoted by the CBI within one of five reports, which inferred that leaving the EU ‘could’ cost each British household around £3000. A figure that Lord Rose is presenting as fact to spearhead the pro-EU campaign group ‘Britain Stronger In Europe’ which he heads. But as Andrew Tyrie MP pointed out, Rose not only failed to mention that the figure of £3000 was merely inferred, but that one of the five reports actually stated that each household could be better off if we left the EU.
Therefore I believe Andrew Tyrie MP is completely justified in calling into question the Lord’s integrity regarding this matter.
It beggars belief that people would stoop so low in an effort to deceive the British people into voting one way or the other regarding such an important issue. Personally I am going to vote to leave the EU but am fully convinced, that if there is information out there that might have a negative impact on the ‘Out Campaign’, I believe it must be made available.
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for You Lord.
But then my allegiance is towards truth, righteousness and light, whilst these people who walk in darkness appear to have their allegiances elsewhere.
8 - For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light
9 - (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),
10 - finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.
11 - And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.
