And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Better... one of two judgements...
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
1) THE JUDGEMENT OF THE JUST.
The judgement of those made right before God when acknowledging their sins, they accepted the Gospel [Good News] that God's Son came in the person of Jesus to take upon Himself the sins of the World.
2 Corinthians 5:10
For we [Christians] must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
There... those who believe shall be judged, who having died with no outstanding debt of sin before God their sins having been borne by Christ, shall thereafter be judged on the basis of how they lived in the days of their flesh since they had confessed His name. Some receiving rewards before entering the Kingdom because of their works of faith with others suffering loss, because of neglect... though they themselves shall be saved.
1 Corinthians 3:11-15
11 - For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 - Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 - Every man's work [of faith] shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14 - If any man's work [of faith in Christ] abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 - If any man's work [of the flesh] shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
2) THE JUDGEMENT OF THE DAMNED.
And then there is the judgement of the Damned, even those who having excused their sins during the days of their lives by comparing one person with another, died in their sins thus shall account for them. For all sin must be accounted for if God is to retain His right standing before Creation.
11 - And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 - And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 - And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 - And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 - And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
So we each have a choice, either to acknowledge our sins who then grieved by them seek for a saviour and find Him in the person of Jesus Christ or rejecting Him, die in our sins to be held accountable for them thereafter.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4
3 - For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 - And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
