I was recently challenged regarding a post I left on Youtube, the gentlemen rightly questioned me as to why we should care that Jesus is ‘The Son of God’ when Adam is stated a son of God too, indeed... if Adam is a ‘son of God’ what is so special about Jesus?
The bible also says that Adam was the son of God too, whats your point dude?
To which I replied...
The Angels are also called the Son’s of God...
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.
Because as Adam they were directly created by God, but we born from our parents are ‘The sons and daughters of men’...
Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
However, we can become 'The Son's of God' when through faith in God's only begotten Son [Jesus] we are ‘born-again’ by His Spirit...
12 - But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 - Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
But Jesus, who before being born into ‘human flesh’ for the purpose of paying for the sins of fallen flesh, was called The Word and was not only with God, but was God through whom all things were made and hold together...
1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 - The same was in the beginning with God.
3 - All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Thus God the Word lowered Himself and entered a body that the Father had prepared for Him in the womb of Mary...
4 - For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. [Animal sacrifice]
5 - Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
7 - But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 - And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
And this holy child grew... and we knew Him as Jesus...
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
My point regarding my earlier post, is that antichrist religions [there are many] such as Islam deny that God’s only begotten Son became flesh for the purpose of paying for the sins of fallen flesh. Because their god doesn’t want anyone to hear this message, because those who do and accept it oppose him and so hinder his plan to escape an eternal hell.
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
There are so many scriptures that I could quote that show that Jesus is the only begotten Son of the Most High God... but I shall limit it to these few...
32 - Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
33 - The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
34 - Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 - If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 - Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
We’ve all sinned XXXX and so worthly of death, after which comes the judgement and our eternal sentencing...
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
1 Corinthians 15:50
Now this I say, brethren, that [fallen, corrupt] flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
But God through His mercy sent His only begotten Son into the world, that He might pay for the sins of all of those who believe on Him and that means ‘all’, for all have sinned and fallen short of the standard God has set...
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
And of course, that includes you as well as sinners like me XXXX.
