Prov 8:36 - But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.
Having spent some time replying to someone who left a comment on a video where they are encouraged to communicate with invisible entities, I decided to repost my comment below.
Scripture leaves us in no doubt that there is no reincarnation...
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
And there are two judgements...
• One for those who have no outstanding debt of death for sin it having been paid through faith in Christ's death and resurrection.
2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
These shall receive rewards or suffer loss according to how they lived since they knew Christ, some who hid their faith shall suffer loss though they themselves shall be saved.
1 Corinthians 3:14-15
14 - If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 - If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
• The other judgement is for those who have an outstanding debt for sin having rejected Christ's payment, these shall stand at The Great White Throne judgement to have their lives investigated [The Books were opened], thereafter to receive their eternal sentence based on that investigation.
11 - And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 - And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged.
However, these judgements are still future... so where are the disembodied souls of those who have passed away kept until that day? For indeed, nobody can be sentenced until they have been judged, and as the judgements are still future...
• The disembodied souls of those who having no outstanding debt for sin, go to be with the Lord in the Third heaven.
2 Corinthians 5:8
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Who Christ shall bring with Him at his now soon return...
1 Thessalonians 4:14
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
These shall receive new immortal and incorruptible bodies [1 Cor 15:52-58] and can not thereafter die...
Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.
These shall rule have reign over the Earth with Christ for the duration of the Millennium Kingdom, thereafter comes eternity.
And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
• Those who die with an outstanding debt for sin having rejected Christ payment, are held in Hades. Hades is in a location relative to our own being within the Earth, it is where Christ's soul went after He had died, while His body yet lay in the tomb...
For thou wilt not leave my soul in Hades; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One[’s body] to see corruption.
A rule of thumb is that those in Hades have no body, while those in Hell are cast there in their bodies.
However, Hade’s authority to hold human souls in a state of death is The Law of Sin and Death [Romans 8:2]. Thus when the man Jesus entered that place it could not hold Him because He was innocent, therefore He conquered the power of Hades to hold men in a state of death.
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hades and of death.
Therefore Jesus, not Satan now holds people in Hades to await judgement, and He does on the basis of if they accepted or rejected His payment for sin. And the day is coming when all will hear His voice
28 - Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29 - And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
And this holding cell called Hades, will in the fullness of time also be cast into Hell...
And death and hades were cast into the lake of fire [Hell]. This is the second death.
In the unlikely event that anyone has read a comment posted by a Christian this far, I say that this is a serious business. I counsel you then not to listen to those who speak to invisible entities whose doom is certain, for God’s Son became a man that He might pay for the sins of men, not angels.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name [Jesus] under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
There is so much I could say regarding this issue, but a Youtube comment is hardly the place, only know this, that those entities are DAMNED TO AN ETERNAL HELL, but while you live you are not.
What parent is there that can help the child bound by pride though they yearn to do so? But if falling to their knees they cry “I have messed-up, I acknowledge my error please help me”. Oh how then can they be helped!
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Again... flee from those who interact with the damned, who unless they repent shall share their eternal doom. They were once mighty, who walked in great places but today they are confined to the region of the first heaven [Eph 2:2 / Lk 10:18], soon to be cast to the Earth [Rev 12:7-9] where with the rebellious they shall have to endure the wrath of a Father who suffered the death of His Son. [Matt 27:46]
And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?
They were mighty and they were blessed but now they are damned, and damned are those who follow them. Yes, for a little longer they have been granted limited authority to dazzle the wanton, and yes compared to fallen humanity they shine with an earthly magnificence but they are damned! Damned I say to a certain but just eternal humiliation, have nothing to do with them!
But rather turn and turn today to God and receive a glory they forfeited, purchased for you through the blood of Christ! For the only acceptable payment for the sin of a man is nothing less than the death of a man, and if you will have it... Christ died for you!
8 - He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off [killed] out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9 - And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. [Innocent]
10 - Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
Song of Solomon 5:16
His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely.
This is my beloved, and this is my friend.
...and His name is Jesus!
