I just had a muslim leave a comment under one of my Youtube posts stating only... “Jesus isn’t God”, to which I replied...
If you are a Muslim [you haven’t said]... you are right to say that your Jesus is not God, and we were told to watch-out that there would be other Jesus’ preaching another Gospel empowered by another spirit [the spirit of antichrist].
2 Corinthians 11:4
For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.
But the Biblical Jesus is God, who before He entered the body the Father had prepared for Him was called “The Word of God” by whom all things were made...
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was with God in the beginning.
3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
Whom the Father made a human body for, that as a man He could pay for the sins of Men by the means of death, even the death of a sinner though He only was righteous...
5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said:
“Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me;
6 with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased.
7 Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll— I have come to do your will, my God.’”
And The Word, God’s Son entered into that Body...
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Even the Jews knew that He was to come, but they rejected Him because they looked for the Jesus of the second coming in power, despising the first coming in humility...
The high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.”
Our Jesus came to fulfil all that was written of His first coming in the Old Testament, which having accomplished and finding two that... as most Muslims today and as the Jews of old, didn’t understand that it was written that Messiah [Christ] should do such things [die for our sins] before being raised to glory, who then said to them...
25 He said to them, “How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken!
26 Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?”
27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.
If you are a Muslim, I get it... your Jesus is not the Son of God who came into the world to pay for sins, but ours is... prophesied in the Old Testament, who before He lay down His life warned us that false Christs and prophets would come in His name...
5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah [Christ],’ and will deceive many.
6 You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
Our Jesus is The Son Of God who took away the sins of the World as foretold in the Scriptures, who also died for you if you would but by acknowledging your sins turn to Him, and He would set you free.
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
He’s reply was...
“Whatever Jesus is out there, he’s not God.”.
Hmmm... reminds me of a person building a house on sand. As for me, when I had no real basis to believe what the Scriptures said I started digging until I heard the ‘clang’ of my shovel hitting solid rock.
Maybe this guy was just a troll, but at least it gave me the opportunity to leave both a post on Google that others might read and a short blog here. Anyway, he is right that there are many Jesus’ but having searched the Scriptures... I can confirm that the one therein is The Son of God, even ‘God With Us’
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him “Immanuel”.
The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him “Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).
