Our Moral Decline

I just watched ‘Sunday Politics’ on the iPlayer, and was stunned to hear William Hague confirm what many Christians had always feared. That Civil Partnerships were just one more step towards full-blown Gay Marriage. And not only so, as it wont stop there... as once the line has been crossed there is no telling where it will end. For instance, Polygyny which the Muslims are seeking, where one man may have up to four wives... and eventually, all Churches being forced by law to wed same-sex couples, will all be much more likely if this goes through. And as for the Church of England... there are some there who will never be satisfied until a Gay man who has had sex change, becomes the Archbishop of Canterbury!

Rather, in a remarkably short space of time, people get desensitised to sin.

A short clip of William Hague unwittingly revealing just how the Conservative party plans to make gay marriage palatable to the British public

So you are a recent convert to gay marriage?

William Hague

Well I think as times have changed, civil partnerships came in (you were having a good discussion about it earlier), within a remarkably short period of time those things become accepted, I think the same will happen with this.

Additionally, I also watched ‘The Big Question’ and cringed when, if my memory serves me correctly, it was Rev Sharon Furguson who said that “Jesus never spoke once about same-sex relationships” which she took to validated her relationship with another women, well He never spoke of bestiality either, so does that mean He excuses sex with animals? And we haven’t even touch upon the passion some may have for incest? And once again, the main thrust of Rev Sharon Furguson’s argument was the last three words found in 1 John 4:8, which state that...

God is love.

Rev Sharon Furguson

It seems she has no idea what the love of God really stands for or what it cost, the love of which she speaks is the ‘love that is in the World’ which excuses sin... even the love that a girl has for her boyfriend, when she whispers in his ear... “oh how I love you”, only to drive straight to work and flirt with every boy she comes into contact with. Or the love a husband has for his wife and family, when having embraced his trusting children in his arms, waves them and his wife goodbye, only to spend his ‘ever so important’ business trip in the arms of his secretary... these likewise excuse sin whose great motto is “What the other does’t know wont hurt them”. Why do I say that? Because she whilst feigning the love of God before men, does the opposite by entering into a same-sex relationship with another women. They do these things because they do not know God, for if they knew Him they would know that nothing escapes His gaze, and He will judge every deed, for Jesus said...

John 15:14
If you love me, keep my commandments.

The love of God does not excuse sin but resists it... coming at a price, it puts aside it’s own will and does the will of the one it loves. It strives to uphold God’s righteousness and His moral standard even when it hurts, even when nobody but God sees. When I think of the price some Christians pay for their Lord, yet these wolves seek not only their own will, but expect everyone else to accept that it is God’s will also, indeed... how shall they escape the judgement of God!

1 John 4:9
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
